Nancy Boyer has a PHd in Educational Psychology in the area of Learning, Development and Instruction. This gives her a strong background in Learning Theory and Positive Reinforcement Training. Over the last 20 years, she has trained and competed her dogs in Tracking, Obedience, Rally, Agility and Herding. While living in New York, Nancy was a member of the Port Chester Obedience Training Club and served as President of the Hudson Valley Tracking Club. Nancy has put AKC TD titles on three of her dogs and is currently training her Rottweiler with hopes she will eventually earn the AKC Champion Tracking Title. In order to expand her knowledge of how dogs work scent, Nancy has studied Variable Surface Tracking with AKC judge Ed Presnall, studied scent work with a k-9 police officer, and volunteered with of the Connecticut Canine SAR team. She has taught AKC tracking classes in NY and now holds tracking classes in Aiken, South Carolina.
